Privacy

Project Resident is an ambient virtual resident and dog simulation for Samsung TVs. It does not require an account, does not include in-app purchases, and does not sell personal information.

Local Save Data

The app stores simulation state locally so the resident and dog can continue where they left off. This includes generated resident and dog DNA, activity state, needs, supplies, mail, game learning state, and online feature preferences.

Online Features

The core simulation works offline. If online features are enabled, Project Resident may use network access for live news headline lookup, optional local news location lookup, or external website and video links selected by the user.

Location

If the user chooses automatic news-location fill, the app may ask the TV or browser for approximate location or use IP-based location lookup. Users can type a location manually, clear it, or turn online features off.
